It is my strong belief that if we spend more time focusing on supporting and uplifting our colleagues, nurses would find greater satisfaction in the work that they do. Therefore I decided to create a monthly blog series: the Nursing Entrepreneur Spotlight – that focuses on exploring other nurse entrepreneurs and the fantastic work they’re doing.  Since I’ve launched my company The Nurse Speak, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful business savvy nurses. I’ve learned that there are so many amazing nurse entrepreneurs out there doing some really groundbreaking work, and this month’s featured guest is no different! So please let’s welcome this April’s featured nurse entrepreneur – Dr. Renee Thompson!

Connecting with Dr. Thompson

I met Dr. Renee Thompson at the 2017 National Nurses in Business Association conference in St. Pete Beach FL. Renee was one of the many talented speakers at the conference, and I am so very happy that I got to hear her speak! During the conference, she was very much present, extremely personable, and offered many of the attendees valuable information to help us in our business ventures. Since the conference, she has been a big supporter of my work via social media, and featured me in her January 2018 newsletter as a valuable resource! I am looking forward to many future collaborations with her, and I hope to see her again soon at this year’s NNBA conference in Las Vegas.
