It is my strong belief that if we spend more time focusing on supporting and uplifting our colleagues, nurses would find greater satisfaction in the work that they do. Therefore I decided to create a monthly blog series: the Nursing Entrepreneur Spotlight – that focuses on exploring other nurse entrepreneurs and the fantastic work are doing.  Since I’ve launched my company The Nurse Speak, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful business savvy individuals, and I’ve learned that there are so many amazing nurse entrepreneurs out there doing some really groundbreaking work – this month’s featured guest is no different! So please let’s welcome this January’s featured nurse entrepreneur – Capra Dalton, RN!

Connecting with Capra

Capra and I connected on Twitter in 2016. One day Capra sent me a message informing me that she had been following my blog and enjoyed my writing style. She continued by asking if I’d be interested in joining her team of industry expert authors to create online continuing education modules that are hosted and sold on her website. As any smart entrepreneur would – I said YES! I love teaching, and I was eager to learn more about this process, so I began creating modules for Pedagogy’s website. Capra and I have not had the pleasure of meeting in person as of yet, but we do communicate via social media, email and telephone at regular intervals. I really enjoy working with Capra, and I’m to see what 2018 brings for us and our partnership in producing and delivering excellent continuing education modules and in-services.

To make things more interesting, and to give you a little taste of what Capra is up to, here is an article that she wrote and posted on the Pedagogy website: Colorado Nurses Mandatory Reporting Reminder
